Fox / FS1 — English coverage

Fox holds the English-language rights for the 2026 World Cup in the US. Group stage matches are split between Fox (the main channel) and FS1. Knockout rounds and high-profile matches go to Fox; FS1 carries the rest.

Fox is available free over-the-air with a TV antenna in most US markets — if you already have an antenna, you can watch Fox matches at no cost. FS1 requires a pay TV subscription.

Streaming without cable

Every major live TV streaming service carries Fox and FS1:

  • Fubo — carries Fox, FS1, and Telemundo. Free trial available. Best all-in-one option for World Cup coverage.
  • YouTube TV — carries Fox and FS1. No free trial, but widely used. Clean interface on most devices.
  • Hulu + Live TV — includes Fox and FS1 bundled with Hulu and Disney+.
  • Sling TV — Blue plan includes Fox and FS1 in supported markets. Cheapest entry point among live TV services.
  • DirecTV Stream — includes Fox and FS1.

If you only need World Cup coverage, sign up during the tournament and cancel after. Most services offer monthly billing with no long-term contract.

Peacock / Telemundo — Spanish coverage

Telemundo has the Spanish-language rights, and all Telemundo matches stream on Peacock. This covers the same 104 matches as Fox — it's the same games, just with Spanish commentary.

Peacock starts at $7.99/month. There's no free tier that includes live sports, but it's the most affordable entry point if you just want the Telemundo feed without a full cable replacement service.

Want a free option? BBC iPlayer covers everything.

BBC iPlayer (UK public broadcaster) streams all 104 matches free — better picture than most cable streams, no subscription, English commentary. You need a VPN connected to a UK server and a free BBC account (just an email and a UK postcode).
